ANNUAL BENEFIT CAR SHOW

Car Show: About Us

ABOUT OUR SHOW

Since Caleb’s successful treatment and entry in remission from his first cancer diagnosis in 2001, Caleb’s family became involved with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to raise money for cancer research and education. Caleb’s uncle, Jim Baron, had a passion for cars. He convinced the family to organize a car show as our primary fundraiser for the ACS. Caleb was 10 years old for the first show. He, his siblings and parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and family friends, have all helped with the show.

One of the standout awards given in the show is the “Caleb’s Choice Award” in which Caleb selected his favorite vehicle. His siblings now carry on the tradition in his memory.

At the first show, there were approximately 75 cars. Since its formation, the show has grown with the biggest show hosting 150 cars.

Proceeds from the first 5 years went to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life averaging at about $4,000 in donations each year.

In 2015, all funds went to the Caleb’s Prayer Foundation averaging $7,886.

This year, May 20, 2018, we will offer 20 different classes. Each class offers trophies to the Top 3 cars. We also offer A Best in Show, Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Interior, and the Caleb’s Memorial Award. Our goal this year is to raise $10,000.
